Financial Accountant
Location: Shannon, Co. Clare
Overview:
This is a full-time, permanent role and is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a busy finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist in the timely completion of accurate management and accounting information, both locally and to our parent company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the month-end close process including posting month-end journals, accruals & prepayments.
- Complete the monthly P&L review and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Management of the fixed asset register.
- Assist in the completion of the monthly reporting packs and cashflow forecasting.
- Assist in the completion of the yearly budgets and other one-off tasks or submissions.
- Support the completion of the annual external audit and related regulatory returns.
- Undertake various ad hoc reporting or accounting assignments as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiencies of the Finance team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 1-2 years post qualified experience.
- Attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
- Excellent Excel Skills.
- Experience in a high volume, pressurised environment.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Systems: Proficiency in system usage, Sage 50 or equivalent an advantage.
